Dart Business Worshops

June 13 and September 12
DART will present a two-part workshop with the D/FW Minority Supplier Development Council. The workshop will provide MBE’s with the necessary tools to bid on projects at DART and DART Procurement staff will be on hand to provide an understanding of DART’s procurement process. The workshop will cover industry specific topics.
Session I – June 13, 2012 (8:30 -11:30 a.m.) Forecasting Your Way To A Contract This session will provide an understanding of procurement methods used for Invitation for Bids (IFB) and Request for Proposals (RFP). DART Procurement staff will share tips on becoming knowledgeable of upcoming opportunities and will describe ways in which vendors can forecast their way to a contract.
Session II – September 12 (8:30-11:30 a.m.) Strategic Approach to Bidding This session will prepare MBE’s on how to strategically approach contracts prior to the bidding process. Topics discussed will include – identifying the current contractor, research specifics of the current contract and work with procurement contract specialists, attend DART committee and board meetings to become knowledgeable of the project and the importance of building relationships.
